DIN 931 or DIN 933: Which Thread Design Do You Need?

DIN 931 partially threaded bolts have an unthreaded shank and a threaded end. Include the required bolt length and grip arrangement in your enquiry so the shank and threaded section can be checked against your assembly.

DIN 933 fully threaded bolts have thread extending along the body towards the head. Specify the diameter, length and thread pitch to match the mating nut or tapped hole.

If your drawing specifies ISO 4014 or ISO 4017, include that standard in your enquiry. DIN and ISO dimensions should be checked before substitution.

Material, Finish and Assembly Notes

These bolts use carbon steel in property class 8.8. The black oxide finish gives a uniform black appearance and basic surface protection.
