Matching Rules for Buyers
Match Thread First
The nut must match the bolt thread exactly. Metric coarse, metric fine, UNC, and UNF threads are not interchangeable. For example, M12 × 1.75 and M12 × 1.5 look close but will not assemble correctly.
Match Strength Grade
A high-strength bolt should not be paired with a low-grade nut. For many metric assemblies, class 8 bolts are matched with class 8 nuts, and class 10 bolts with class 10 nuts, unless the project standard states otherwise.

Match Coating and Corrosion Resistance
