Содержание

MOQ, lead time, and stock availability are closely connected in fastener purchasing. Buyers often ask, “Do you have stock?” but the better question is: what size, grade, finish, packaging, and quantity are actually ready to ship?

A stock fastener order can move quickly when the specification is complete. It can also slow down if the buyer changes coating, asks for private labels, or combines common and uncommon sizes in one shipment.

Why MOQ and Lead Time Vary

Stock Does Not Mean Every Version Is Ready

A supplier may stock M12 hex bolts, but not every length, grade, thread type, or finish. Common items are easier to ship fast. Special finishes, small box packing, mixed sets, or non-standard dimensions usually add time.

For regular catalog items, buyers can review standard fasteners and confirm whether the required specification is standard or made to order.

What Buyers Should Provide

Basic Product Data

A clear RFQ should include more than part name and quantity. Provide:

  1. Product type: bolt, nut, washer, screw, anchor, stud, or rod
  2. Standard: DIN, ISO, ASTM, ANSI, EN, or drawing
  3. Size, length, thread pitch, and thread length
  4. Material and strength grade
  5. Surface finish or coating
  6. Quantity by each size
  7. Packing method and label requirements
  8. Required documents and inspection reports

For full product planning, buyers can review the complete fastener products range.

Stock Order vs Production Order

Identify the Order Type Early

Order TypeBest ForBuyer Note
Stock orderCommon fasteners, urgent replenishmentConfirm exact size, grade, and finish
Semi-stock orderCommon base item with added packing or sortingAllow time for handling
Production orderLarge quantity or special finishMOQ and production schedule apply
Custom orderDrawing-based or unusual partsUse drawings, samples, and approval process

For drawing-based parts, buyers should use custom non-standard fasteners and confirm MOQ before sample or mass production.

Coating and Packaging Questions

Small Changes Can Add Days

Coating and packaging often affect delivery more than buyers expect. Zinc plating, hot-dip galvanizing, zinc flake, PTFE coating, and stainless steel requirements should be confirmed before the quotation is finalized.

For corrosion-related requirements, compare various coated fasteners before selecting the finish.

Buyers should also state:

  • Bulk carton or small box packing
  • Pieces per bag, box, or carton
  • Carton marks and barcodes
  • Pallet requirements
  • Rust prevention method
  • Mixed packing or separate SKU packing

Final Advice

For MOQ, lead time, and stock fastener orders, accuracy saves time. Define the exact specification, separate stock items from production items, and confirm packing before price approval.

A complete RFQ helps the supplier check real availability, quote the correct MOQ, and provide a reliable delivery schedule.
